Reference Service

A team of skilled Liaison Librarians are available to assist you during the Library's opening hours.

The Librarians provide assistance to Academy students and staff in finding information required for essays, tutorials, research projects and other teaching and learning activities.

They can help:
  • find answers to factual questions;
  • interpret bibliographic references;
  • provide guidance in the selection and use of electronic resources;
  • assist you to use the Library Catalogue and other databases;
  • you navigate the web effectively.

    If you are unable to find the information you need from the available resources, the Librarians can search many other external databases covering a wide variety of information sources. To make an online request for a search, use the Ask a Librarian facility of the Ask Us service. Any charges incurred using these external databases are paid for by the appropriate School.
