The Ask4it
service aims to process requests within 48 hours. That is
we aim to locate the item and request it from the first holding
Library within 48 hours. For difficult to locate items or items
from oveaseas libraries or suppliers, the timeline is normally longer.
The Academy library has recipriocal borrowing arrangements with
UNSW and the DSTO Research Libraries. These arrangements assist
in reducing turnaround times for requests. This means that the
Ask4it service is usually able to meet timelines according
to the Service
Charter.
To assist us in locating requested material, we would ask that
you provide as much information as possible when entering your
request. International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) for books
and International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN) for journals
are most helpful.
