Charges, Timelines and Loan periods

Charges & Timelines:
Fees for inter library loans and document delivery (including fees for special Ask4it services) are charged to the appropriate School or Administration area.

Loan Periods

Many lending libraries give extended loan periods of up to 10 weeks. These libraries do not grant renewal requests. If the loan has come from one of these libraries it will have a status of not renewable. The Due Date will be highlighted on the slip which will come with your item. The Due Date applies, unless the loan is recalled by the lending library. If the item is recalled, it must be returned as soon as possible.

Other Points to Remember

  • Borrowing conditions from the lending Library must be observed.
  • Items must be returned by the due date - or, if you require a renewal and your item is renewable, this should be requested before the due date.
  • Only one renewal is granted on any item.
  • Do not mark the borrowed material in any way.
  • Ask4it requests must be related to work or research at the Academy. A fee will be charged for requests for material for personal use.
