The uni year has started and I've attended a few lectures this week and collected a lot of handouts (i.e. lecture notes, course outlines, and reading lists for each unit). All of the lecturers encouraged the class to start to obtain the items on the Reading Lists as these reading lists are a good starting point for our first assignments.
Reading lists are lists of references (or they are sometimes called Citations ) that our lecturers have decided are essential for their course. The references can include all sorts of sources, including books, chapters from books, electronic articles, DVDs, and that is just to name a few. Here are are some examples of reading list items from a lecture that I have just finished:
I need to browse all the reading lists and look at the assessment requirements so I can start to understand what is expected and when it is due! Most assignments are due in Week 6 and I'm getting a bit nervous already.
Perhaps, if I can work out how to locate some things in the Library, I could be on my way to sorting out which assignments will need work and how to go about writing them. I need to find out when the Library Information Skills sessions are held.
On campus, you can't miss the Library building (Building 13) - the entrance is near the Defence Credit (DEFCredit) branch, which is near the coffee shop. I have also been told the Library is a non-saluting area so I must try and remember that!
