7. Topics of related interest which are not yet being supported from this School's book funds, either because there is not yet an extensive program in this area or because it is felt that another school should buy in this field.
In areas where the study of Economics overlaps with other subject disciplines, it is assumed that the Schools concerned with those disciplines are selecting material that will support such study. Schools likely to be most affected by those overlaps are :-

Aeronautical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering (Project Management)
Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (Information Systems)
Physical, Environmental and Mathematical Sciences (Social Geography)
Humanities and Social Science (History and Politics)

In addition, the Engineering Schools are assisting in the selection of material in support of Economics of Technological Innovation, and in the teaching of Operations Research.

8. Gaps in the Library Collection, including electronic resources, which should be amended when funds permit
    Nil
9. Bibliographic Control
The Journal of Economic Literature is the major source for the school both in literature searches and in book selection. Other sources for selection are :-
      Economic Books (Pittsburgh)
Publishers' catalogues, e.g. Economist Bookshop and Heffer, etc.
      Economic Abstracts
      Management bibliographic reviews
      Asian-Pacific economic literature
