2. Chronological Coverage

Not applicable.

3. Geographical Coverage

For Civil Engineering, special emphasis on the Asia-Pacific environment..

4. Does Material Become Dated in this Field? If so, How Far Back is Material Generally Significant?

Generally, material older than 1970 uses non-metric measures and outdated construction methods and traditional materials. Probably most items over 15-20 years old are less relevant. Classical texts before 1970.

5. Language Guidlines

    English language only.
6. Electronic Databases of Major Relevance
    Primary:
      Aerospace
      Compendex
      EngIndex [FirstSearch]
      Inspec

Others : See list under Subject categories "Aero and Mech Eng", and "Civil Eng" in CrossSearch

7. Topics of related interest which are not yet being supported from this school's book funds, either because there is not yet an extensive program in this area or because it is felt that another school should buy in this field.

Computer Science and Operations Research is covered by ITEE and PEMS. Other areas not covered by ACME are Firepower; Military technology.

8. Gaps in the Library Collection, including electronic resources, which should be amended when funds permit

    None
9. Bibliographic Control

    Publishers' blurbs
    Book reviews from professional journals
