Title Word/s - Search Hints

Title Word/s allows you to search for a single word or phrase that is anywhere in the title.

Important tips to remember when using the Title Word/s search:

  • type in a single word or phrase
  • you do not need to type in the whole title just the phrase you think is somewhere in the title
  • omit punctuation and capital letters

For Example:

You are looking for a book that you think has the phrase "Ho Chi Minh Trail" in the title.

1. Select Title Word/s in the Find Results in box and type in the phrase ho chi minh trail

2. Click the Search button

The results below tell us the Library has four items that have the phrase "ho chi minh trail" in the title that would not have been found if the "Title Initial Words" search was used.
